Note: Events dates for year 2012 will be advised in due course.

The authorities and the good people there are anxiously awaiting this influx of happy bikers. Arrangements are underway to make improvements to the site infrastructure for what is expected to be an even bigger event than last year. This is one rally no-one wants to miss and people are saying, and the Events Calendar seems to confirm, that no-one wants to organise any other event on this weekend because they are all going to the Rhino.
It is, for those who have never been, a social gathering with several live bands, disco, flea market stalls and exhibitions, a bar, food and refreshments for a weekend of fun and togetherness and holiday and happiness. There will be a huge marquee, even bigger than last time, this time on the soccer fields. There will be a shenanigan street again for wheelies and drags and again a mass ride from the site, around town, down the hooligan street and back.
There will be one of the latest super bikes and other bikes in the lucky draw, lots of prizes and trophies, a workshop and dyno on site, paramedics and a site hospital, exhibitor stands, flea markets, exhibitions.
Cars & Bakkies Allowed
Back-up cars and bakkies are allowed on site.
We have hired the entire site for the week, including the area across the river. The site seems large enough to accommodate cars carrying tents and camping stuff so that riders can enjoy the ride more without having to carry tents and things on their bikes. But cars must stay parked for the weekend. Town and shops are a short walk away. Bikes have unlimited in and out movement.
But we could have an unusually large entry this year and some cars then may have to park in a parking area next to the site. No site booking for camping needed, park and camp anywhere except around the main marquee and activities area.
No Quads Please
This rule has been in force at Bike SA rallies for two years now, following mass requests from the majority. The reasons are because many quads were ridden irresponsibly, either by drunks or kids and there were nearly fistfights after quads collided with people, tents, cars, bikes and, worse, small children. It is an outright, zero tolerance ban. No quad will be allowed in the site, either ridden, carried or trailered.
Please do not argue with the organisers or we will ask any rallyists standing around for help, which they will eagerly give.
No Pit & Kiddies Bikes In Main Site.
Use Allocated Area.
Sadly, pit bikes must please not be ridden in the main site. An area will be allocated on the site across the river on part of the enduro track for this purpose. Fathers please keep pit bikes loaded on your bakkie and take them there or push them across the pedestrian bridge. The ban is for much the same reasons that quads are banned (see above.) If there are any fathers who disagree with this, please let us know and we will ask for a vote at prizegiving.
