The Rhino Rally was founded in 1976 and in 2014  in Parys it not only reclaimed its recently lost title of the biggest rally in the country, but was also the biggest rally ever in the history of South African rallies. It’s well-earned slogan is “Everyone Goes To The Rhino.”

Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra to play Rock and other music

The Rhino always springs surprises or offers something different. This year, in addition to the famous bands, and a bike and car jumping through and over two burning caravans, there will be the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra playing something different – good old rollicking rock, rock and roll and whatever classification music like Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Creedence’s Bad Moon Rising fall under.

Last year’s Guinness fire tunnel record breakers will go even more extreme at Rhino Rally 2015, Parys. Enrico Schoeman will do a high speed jump off a ramp and, hopefully, through two burning caravans. And while he is thus occupied, Andre De Kock will ramp a car over the entire bike and caravans ensemble.
